Healthy Kids #1

Dear Students:
I hope you are having a great Spring Break so far!  Here is the first assignment for Saturday, April 12, 2014.  Please check this blog daily for new assignments.  Always do the best you can, and don't be afraid to ask for help.  Write your answers in a notebook, or on any other paper.  Bring it all back to school on the 28th.

Directions:  Here are sentences with some words you have learned.  Please read the sentence.  Then write a word that is a synonym for the underlined word.  You may use a book dictionary.  Always read out loud to get fluency practice. Yes, you do write the sentences!

1)  The building is old and ancient.

2)  The students were joyful when they lined up for lunch.

3)  The popcorn was tasty.

4)  Let's look at the words and see if we know any of them.

5)  The girls and boys jumped up and down in the bouncy house.

Bonus:  When they blew the whistle the students stopped moving.

Please visit this blog tomorrow, for a new assignment!

Thank you,
Ms. Bhopla
