Smart Tiger #4

Correct these sentences.  Please write the whole corrected sentence.
 
1)  He and I have a lot of fun together.
 
2)  I and the principal gave the soldier a thumbs up.
 
3)  The ball player striked the man out during the first 20 minutes.
 
4)  Sarah drived past the donut shop without stopping.
 
5)  I and the tutor eated the fruit together.
 
6)  In June we played Speed, but in July we will not played any games during breaks.
 
7)  Mom said, "Josh, I and you are going to have a cool and fun day at the park."
 
Practice saying the following math terms out loud.  Say each part slowly:

Negative numbers can be fun, especially when you are learning to say - 45°F

Mixed Review Math:

1)  jason rode his bike 0.8 mile.  Mike rode 1.3 miles.  Tom's chain fell off his bike and he only rode 0.08 mile.  List these distances from least greatest.

2)  Write the decimal two and three tenths.

3)  1.8 + 3.6

4)  5.3 - 2.1

5)  4.2 + 3.9

6)  6.1 - 0.8

What is the probability (chance) of the following?

7)  Tuesday follows Monday?  (impossible, certain, likely, unlikely)

8)  A tree can run.

9)  It is raining somewhere.

10)  Your tutor will be late.

11)  Ms. Bhopla will be able to jump off a chair and fly into the sky.

The zero represents impossible.  The one represents certain.  

For numbers 7 - 11, draw a line graph, then place a dot where you think the probability is represented.

Example: 

Ms. Bhopla will drink tea at least once today.

Notice that the dot is not exactly on 1.  We can never be sure that she will drink tea.  However, it is very likely.
