Read these sentences once. Then write the corrected sentences on a piece of binder paper. Check capitalization, spelling, punctuation, verbs. You may use a dictionary.

Fact or opinion
Directions: Write on a piece of binder paper, the answer fact or opinion. Write the sentence and the word fact, or opinion.
1) The multipurpose room is the best place to eat lunch.
2) There are exactly 184 tissues in this Kleenex box.
3) Art is the best subject.
4) Flying in an airplane can be a lot of fun.
5) Eating a good breakfast in the morning is the best for good health.
6) Drinking water directly from the faucet can harm your health.
7) The students kicked the soccer ball so hard, it landed on another field.
8) Your computer is old. It's time for an upgrade.
9) My computer is old, but it still gets the work done.
10) My mom's cooking is absolutely, delicious!
Prefix or Suffix
A prefix is added to the beginning of a root word.
A suffix is added to the end of the word.
Examples: Redo. Re is the prefix. The root word is do. Walking. ing is the suffix. The root word is walk.
Directions:
1) Write the word once from the list below.
2) Underline the root word.
3) In blue, circle the prefix.
4) In red, circle the suffix.
5) Write the part of speech of each root word (noun, adjective, verb, adverb). Use each root word in a sentence.
6) Write the part of speech of the whole word. Use the complete word in a sentence.
